Aggregate Operations Manager

Position Summary: Reporting to the Regional Manager, The Aggregate Operations Manager has direct responsibility for the plant site including safety, environment, operations, sales, maintenance, inventory management, performance, quality, financial performance, employee relations, business image, and community relations.

Responsibilities will include:

• Health and Safety – Assist in the implementation and compliance of QCI Safety Program to ensure personnel are working in a safe manner in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Environment – Establish environmental policies and processes and compliance as a priority at the site.
• Operations – Provide direct oversight of the processing, storage, and shipping of aggregates at the plant. Understand the value of quality and ensure processes are in place to provide a quality product for our customers. Ensure optimal operation and maintenance of all fixed and mobile equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for effective recruitment, development, and management of employees at the Penobsquis facility and will foster effective employee relations in a safe and productive work environment.
• Quality – Understand the value of quality and ensure processes are in place to provide a quality product to our customers. Utilize best practices to benefit production and shipping.
• Sales – Accountable sales, customer interaction and strengthening business relationships. Ensure that expectations for quality and delivery of raw materials are met.

Qualifications:

Candidates will be self-motivated individuals with excellent leadership, interpersonal and mechanical skills. In this position, it is essential to be computer literate and have the ability to organize people and processes. Knowledge of the Aggregate industry with excellent customer relationship skills. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a combination of relevant work experience and education along with a proven record of results.

Salary: Starting salary will be commensurate with skills and experience.
